The latest Pokémon TCG expansion Sword & Shield: Battle Styles introduces the new game mechanism Battle Styles, which is based on the video games Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield! Battle Styles contains Single Strike Style, attacks that can eliminate opponents with one hit and Rapid Strike Style, with which unexcpected attacks can be launched. Each Pokémon can have a battle style. there are Single Strike and Rapid Strike cards that are available as trainer or as energy cards and players can compile a Single Strike or Rapid Strike deck.
In this expansion there are already several Battle Style cards to be found, such as Single Strike Urshifu V, Rapid Strike Urshifu V, Single Strike Tyranitar V and Rapid Strike Empoleon V. Single Strike Urshifu VMAX and Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX are also available in their Gigantamax-form, known form the expansion The Isle of Armor for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.
The complete Pokémon TCG Sword & Shield Battle Styles expansion contains 60 Battle Style cards, 12 Pokémon V and 16 full-art Pokémon V, 6 Pokémon VMAX, 19 Trainer-Karten, 6 full-art Supporter cards and 2 Special Energy cards.
