Lucky Luke is a comic book series originally created in 1946 by Belgian artist Maurice De Bevere (under the pseudonym Morris), later scenarios were also written by among other René Goscinny (who also was the author of Asterix). The hero, Lucky Luke, is a cowboy who shoots faster than his shadow and lives through many adventures in the Wild West of 19th Century America, together with his faithful and very intelligent horse Jolly Jumper, often accompanied by the not-so-bright dog Rin Tin Can. Frequently he has a conflict with his nemesis, the Dalton brothers.
