In The Seven Crystal Balls (page 27, vignette C3), while Professor Calculus takes off his hat to greet Professor Bergamot courteously, the latter, on the other hand, has no regard for decorum. Intoxicated by the joy of their reunion, the man takes him vigorously in his arms.

So much so that "this dear old Calculus" literally ends up... no longer touching the ground!
