Moulinsart Tintin model car 1:8 The blue Jeep from Destination Moon

41x22,5x27 cm!

Starring on the front cover, then playing a major role on page 41, the jeep caused a sensation in the first volume of the lunar adventures. And yet, it only appears thirteen times. This speaks volumes about Hergé's narrative genius, who, in just a few appearances, managed to make it... indispensable!

It must also be said that its brief appearance in Destination Moon is a true tour de force. Fast-paced, comical, and lively, it starts off at a breakneck speed, but above all... at breakneck speed! An unforgettable sequence that also reveals an unexpected side of Professor Calculus. For here, the hard-of-hearing scientist—usually so calm and placid—gets offended, loses his temper... and drives like a maniac.

And his driving is exhilarating! To top it all off, Professor Calculus confesses—at the end of the race—that he doesn't have a driver's license: "One of these days, I'll learn!" he boasts to his passengers before slamming on the brakes.

To bring the myth into the realm of reality, the designers at Tintinimaginatio have created a 1/8th scale model, faithful to Hergé's drawings.
