About Snoopy and the other Peanuts
The American cartoonist Charles Monroe Schulz (1922–2000) became world-famous with his comic strip series Peanuts. He made this cartoon from 1950 until his death in 2000. Schulz drew short stories about a group of children and a dog and called them Peanuts. The dog is named Snoopy. Snoopy is no ordinary beagle. He loves books and he is a writer. He is a collector of fine arts and he is a root beer connoisseur. Moreover, his boundless imagination makes his life anything but boring. As the Flying Ace, he heroically fights the Red Baron. As Joe Cool, he is the top dog in the schoolyard. But no imagined adventure is better than a nap on top of his doghouse and waking up for a well-deserved meal, made especially for him by that boy with the round head: Charlie Brown.
