The Little Mole is a character from an originally Czech animated series, created by Zdeněk Miler. In Czech, the hero is called Krtek . The cartoon originated in Prague in 1956 and was first presented at the Venice Film Festival in 1957, where it won no fewer than two Golden Lions. The title of the first film was Jak krtek ke kalhotkám přišel (How the Little Mole Got His Pants) . More episodes were produced starting in 1963. There is no dialogue, and cheerful classical music is used. This makes it accessible to all ages and nationalities. Moreover, the subjects of the series are timeless and at the same time relevant.
